Law Enforcement:
Brian has been a long-standing supporter of our law enforcement and respects the work they perform and risks they are taking. Anyone who knows Brian knows that to be true.
The Sheriff’s Office had concerns over the outdated jail. Brian successfully worked to acquire a $17 million no-match grant to expand it. Work on the jail expansion was recently completed.
When nationwide, police were being attacked by a segment of the population who wanted to defund and disband the police forces, Brian drafted a resolution in support of our local law enforcement which the Board of Supervisors passed 5-0.
Brian is a very strong supporter of the US Constitution, including our 2nd Amendment rights.
County Health Services:
Brian has supported the development and delivery of basic health services provided by Amador County for many years. The county plays an important role in public health, making a difference in the lives of many people. These critical services include programs to address:
- Substance abuse
- Physical abuse
- Mental Health issues
- In Home Supportive Services for the elderly
- Homeless individuals
- And many other services
Marijuana:
Brian continues to strongly oppose commercial grows! We must continue to protect our scenic beauty and family values.
The enforcement, environmental and societal costs are just too high.
Brian was instrumental in keeping commercial grows out of our county. However, Brian understands the medicinal value of marijuana.
Brian made it possible for a small number of plants to be grown for personal use.
We need Brian’s strength, integrity, experience, and steadfast conservative values to defend our way of life.
Homelessness:
The larger cities in this state have tried numerous ways of providing answers to homelessness. It is a problem. We have all seen it.
Brian supports County efforts to reunite homeless individuals with their families and exploring other avenues for solutions. The Sheriff is looking into Tuolumne County’s homeless shelter’s operation.
Homelessness is serious and heartfelt problem.
