AAUW Amador Branch & Amador High School Students Present: Primary Election 2026 Candidates Forum
With the June Primary Election right around the corner, I’m looking forward to an important opportunity for our community to come together, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversation about the future of Amador County.
On Thursday, April 23 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., I’ll be participating in the Candidates Forum hosted at the Amador High School Giles Turner Theater. This event, organized by the AAUW Amador Branch in partnership with students from Amador High School, is especially meaningful because it brings together not only candidates from across the ballot—but also the next generation of voters who are stepping into the civic process.
I’ve always believed that open dialogue and accessibility are essential to good leadership. This forum is a great chance for residents to hear directly from candidates, learn more about where we stand on the issues, and take part in the democratic process. Each candidate will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, share their perspective, and respond to questions—including those developed with the help of local students.
It’s encouraging to see young people getting involved, asking thoughtful questions, and learning how campaigns and elections work. Their participation is a reminder that the decisions we make today will shape the Amador County they inherit tomorrow.
I invite you to join us for this evening of discussion and community engagement. Whether you’ve been following local issues closely or are just beginning to learn more, your voice and your presence matter. Events like this help keep our local government accountable, transparent, and connected to the people it serves.
The forum is free and open to the public, and I hope to see a strong turnout from across our community. I look forward to hearing your questions, sharing my perspective, and continuing the conversation about how we can work together to keep Amador County strong.
Thank you, and I hope to see you there.
